On Thursday I got to see the doctor to get a renewal on a routine prescription and he decided I have reached the age where it's appropriate to have my blood tested yearly for all the age-related stuff. My cholesterol has always been great (right around 155), but my triglycerides have been pretty high, so Friday morning I went in and had my blood drawn by a hot phlebotomist and yesterday the doctor's office called and told me that everything looks good. Hooray! I've been worried for the past few years that I'm slowly becoming my father (who has had a bad heart for a long time now) and there is NO WAY I'm going to have the same problems he does. I've got too many things to see and do, you know? After all, Italy won't come to me and I want to be strong and healthy enough to enjoy it as much as possible.
