The Office Brain Trust

Matt on Murano
This afternoon I was working with a staff member and one of the social worker came looking for me and said, "We need you right away!  The surge protector and the printer are both making a very loud humming sound!"  Naturally, this is a bad thing, and so I dropped what I was doing and rushed down there.
As I came near the printer, I could indeed hear a loud humming.  I approached slowly, in fear that the thing would suddenly arc and shock me.  I turned and noticed the staff standing a good fifty feet away, probably ready to call 911 at a moment's notice.  Cowards.  The closer I got, the harder it was to determine exactly where the sound was coming from.  And then I realized what the sound was...

The fan in the women's bathroom on the other side of the wall.

Their reaction?  "There's a bathroom there?"
